A day at the beach

With temperatures steadily above 30 degrees, a day at the beach seems like a good way to pass the time.

Cottesloe Beach in Perth, Western Australia has to be one of the nicest beaches on the face of the planet. With its super white sand and often blue sea, you can’t but have a truly awesome time.

Being a great beach is not its only claim to fame but it was also where the celebration for the life of Heath Ledger was held.
While you go there to obviously swim, relaxing and reading a book on the sand is another great option but don’t forget to wear sunscreen if you don’t want to burn.
It is not really a hard core surfing beach but just nice if you want to go and swim and great if you have children.

There are lovely cafes and restaurants nearby with views to die for. While there is the Tea Rooms that overlook the Ocean, there is Il Lido across the road (still has a great view) which does great food, wine and coffee. It also has tables outside which is a good place to enjoy your breakfast.

There are lots of ice cream places and fish and chip shops to satisfy any post swim hunger.

There is also John Street Café that is a short distance away from the main drag that is a personal favorite. Their breakfasts and coffee is to die for, not to mention their relaxed vibe.
In March there is also a sculpture by the sea exhibition which is also very cool.

Hope you enjoy your day at the beach as much as I did and hope you have fun.
